We know that venturing into a new church for the first time can be a challenge. Here are answers to some questions you may have before you visit.
Where are you located?
We are located on the north side of Sunrise Highway off of exit 58. Our "Jesus is Lord" sign is visible from right off of the highway. Click Here for more detailed directions.
What times are your worship gatherings?
Our Sunday Services take place at 11 AM and 6:30 PM. We have a mid-week service with ministries for every age, including an adult bible study that take place at 7:00 PM on Wednesday Nights.
What should I expect during a typical Sunday service?
At our Church, we strive to offer relevant biblical preaching and genuine opportunities to worship our Lord Jesus Christ. Our worship style offers a blend of both contemporary and traditional music. We believe that God wants to speak to all His people when we gather and that all things are to be done decently and in order.
Are there services for my child during the adult worship service?
Yes, children's church is offered in our fellowship hall for all ages
How long do your worship services last?
Our services generally last an hour and a half. Often people desire to stay longer and enjoy time in worship and prayer around the altar.
What about Sunday School?
Sunday School classes being at 9:45 A.M. in our fellowship hall, which is directly down the stairs to your right as you enter our church foyer. Sunday School Classes for all ages are available. Is there a nursery for child care?
At Shirley Assembly, we have nursery care available for newborns and toddlers. We strive to offer nurseries that are both safe and enjoyable for the children.
How should I dress?
When we gather together for our services as a congregation we strive to dress our best and with modesty. However, wearing fancy clothing is not what is important at our church, what's important is that you come as you are to receive all that God has for you!
